A friend and fellow photographer, Paxton Photography @meg.paxtonphotography, recently asked me if i wanted to tag along with her to a stylized wedding photo session at the Planetarium in Grand Rapids. Wanting to jump at the chance to play and experiment without the pressure of a timeline, I of course, jumped at said chance. Let me state for the record, that the experience greatly exceeded my expectations! The museum itself, is amazing. 3+ floors of history and science all in one building! Fossil Exhibits, a huge whale skeleton hanging from the ceiling, an old timey street with "shops", a "barrel room", which was one of my favorites, and a quiet place to view the stars and planets up close and personal! I mean, this place is CRAZY AMAZING. Thinking back now... i didn't even come close to exploring all it had to offer.
We start with the accoutrement. @truer_design was in charge of the flowers,@essenseofaustralia and @martinalianabridal designed the gorgeous dresses from @truesociety_grandrapids, @minersnorthjewelers provided the gorgeous jewelry and @juniperandlaceevents did an amazing job setting up and coordinating the whole event.
Which leads us to the lovely models who took their relationship to the "next level" for a brief moment. Liam and Addy gave me fierce passion, while Victoria and Larryn were dreamy in love! Both couples were amazing to work with and made my job incredibly easy!
Juniper and Lace Events set up an amazing table scape with the help of @eventtheorymi for chairs, flatware and stemware, linens and napkins were provided by @bbjlinen, and a streamline menu design by @k_creativeco.
We ended the evening with a light show. In the middle of winter, the city of Grand Rapids installed an interactive light display throughout by the water. Walk along the river to find various spots that are "lit up" with art. Thank you Grand Rapids!
